I recently had the opportunity to bring the Hydrogen car to our local Boy Scout car show. I spent some time in the presence of some great vehicles and very talented restoration people. It was great for me because the H2 Equinox was parked next to a ’55 Chevy Bel Air (all original) and a ’55 Chevy 210 Post which could have been sold in the Barrett Jackson auction.
As always, I fielded the standard questions of; how far off is the hydrogen Car? How safe is the technology? And how expensive is hydrogen compared to gasoline, but perhaps the best was the car-buffs with their amazing cars who wanted to take it for a ride in our hydrogen vehicle.
There was a “wake the neighbors” engine revving contest … I was unable to participate since this thing runs so incredibly quietly :-)
