I really enjoyed the opportunity to test drive the Hydrogen car. Many of my friends and neighbors got a chance to view and ride in the car while I had it home for the weekend. They were impressed by how quiet the car ran and how quickly it accelerated. Since there are quite a few engineers in the neighborhood, they had lots of questions about the design, fuel cell operation and hydrogen efficiency which fortunately my training prepared me to answer. We had tickets to the Iron Pigs game that weekend so we rode there in the Hydrogen car where the car attracted some attention and questions/comments in the parking lot. After my weekend experience with the car, there are still some skeptics in the neighborhood who wonder whether the hydrogen infrastructure required for hydrogen cars will be able to develop, but they all agree that if and when the infrastructure is in place, the hydrogen cars will be successful since they are efficient, quiet, sustainable with green hydrogen use and a pleasure to drive.
